My Furry Writing Companion and Positive Writing Habits

Peggy-Lap-SleepThere’s an author friend of mine who shares pics of his “Arctic Dog” all the time, showing a snapshot of his daily life in Alaska as he goes about his authoring life.

I don’t have anything as exciting as an Arctic Dog, but I do have a furry writing companion. Peggy, our 2 1/2-year-old miniature Schnauzer has been happy to curl up between my extended legs when I sit in my recliner. She’s done this while I write since we first got her as a puppy.

She provides me a warm bit of positive feedback to encourage me in my writing habits. Not all habits are bad and an author who has awesome readers like you needs a regular daily writing habit. It’s important to keep the books and the creative juices flowing.

New Book On the Way

I have a new book coming out next week on Friday. It’s the culmination of the Accidental Champion saga. I’ll send you an email about it next weekend to let you know when it’s available.

In the meantime, another buddy is releasing their latest book, Demons and Deception. It’s an urban fantasy novel kicking off a new series – Magic Blood: The Warlock. It’s available for 99¢ for a limited time.

Check it out on Amazon, here.

Here’s the book’s description:

demons and deceptionI’m a mage. Problem is, it might kill me.

In another life, I was an investigator, a hunter, and a problem solver. It was great. Until it wasn’t. When tragedy struck, I gave up my entire life and got as far away from my problems as I could.

Now I’m in London, working at a university library, stacking books and keeping my head down. It’s the normal life I wanted, until Levi shows up. He’s wants a book in my library, and no way in hell am I going to give it to him. There’s something special about this book. Maybe even dangerous. And it’s my job to protect it.

But now I’m stuck with this sexy, smart-mouthed Mage who won’t leave me alone. Worse, he’s isn’t the only person who wants the book. All of a sudden, this new life I’ve built for myself gets a whole lot more dangerous.

If I want to survive, I need to figure out what the hell is going on. And I think that the only way out, is through.

Teaming up with Tansey Morgan, author of the hit series “The Last Serpent”, Katerina Martinez is back doing what she does best; writing gripping, action-packed urban fantasy you won’t want to put down. If you like snark, danger, action, and romance with a bit of bite, this book is for you!

I hope you enjoy it! I’m back to my writing. Look for my email on the new release next week!

Take care and stay safe!
