Unique Fantasy Magic Skills with R.C. Barnes on the Books and Authors Podcast

This is the Books and Authors Fantasy Podcast Episode 172 with R.C. Barnes.

Good day and welcome to this episode of the Books and Authors Fantasy and Sci-Fi Podcast. I’m your host, podcaster and author of Fun Fantasy Reads, Jamie Davis. This podcast is exactly what the title says it is, a show focused on everything in fantasy books.

This show will cover everything to do with fantasy books. From Epic Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Sword and Sorcery, and everything in between, expect to find the best and brightest authors from all the various corners of the fantasy book world. Plus we’ll add in a few other very special guests as well along the way.

For my author update, I’m currently between large projects so I’m switching gears and working full blast on a new humorous sci-fi space serial project to be released on the Kindle Vella platform later this summer. I’m collaborating on this with my friend Jen Frontera. All that is happening while my son and co-author, C.J. Davis works on his parts of the Accidental Monk, book 7 in the Accidental Traveler series.

You can check out more information on what I’m up to, including sneak peeks of upcoming covers, special giveaways, and more, by visiting my fan group on Facebook, Jamie’s Fun Fantasy Readers and over at my website and blog, JamieDavisBooks.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

This week on the show I interview author R.C. Barnes. She is a former film and television executive, who decided it was time to give life to the delightful characters in her head. Her YA Tattoo Teller series INK FOR THE BELOVED is a love letter to her adolescent years in the East Bay.

The series is set in Berkeley and features her fearless biracial teen detective, Bess Wynters, who possesses a unique psychic talent involving tattoos. The second book in the series, INK FOR THE DAMNED, releases this summer 2021.

On a perfect day, R.C. (also known as Robin Claire) can be found curled up with a book, listening to the rain outside, eating noodles, and sipping tea or wine (depending on the hour). She lives in Berkeley and is the mother of three very nice people.

R.C. is one of the amazing authors appearing in the upcoming Urban Fantasy short story anthology, Summer Solstice Shenanigans.
