Traveling the World to Write Epic Adventure Fantasy with Aaron Hodges on the Books and Authors Podcast

This is the Books and Authors Fantasy Podcast Episode 153 with Aaron Hodges .

Good day and welcome to this episode of the Books and Authors Fantasy and Sci-Fi Podcast. I’m your host, podcaster and author of Fun Fantasy Reads, Jamie Davis. This podcast is exactly what the title says it is, a show focused on everything in fantasy books.

This show will cover everything to do with fantasy books. From Epic Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Sword and Sorcery, and everything in between, expect to find the best and brightest authors from all the various corners of the fantasy book world. Plus we’ll add in a few other very special guests as well along the way.

Let’s jump in with my writing update this week. I released my new cover for The Paramedic’s Sorceress this week. Everyone one seems to like it. Now I just have to finish the book. The end is in sight, though. I’m about three quarters of the way through the first draft, so we’re still on target for release this coming spring. Check out the rest of the Extreme Medical Services series while you’re waiting.

You can catch up with more information on what I’m up to, including some early looks at excerpts from the new book over in my Fun Fantasy Readers Facebook group. I post sneak peeks of upcoming covers, special giveaways, and more, by visiting my fan group on Facebook, Jamie’s Fun Fantasy Readers and over at my website and blog, JamieDavisBooks.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Let’s jump into this week’s special guest author. Aaron Hodges was born in 1989 in the small town of Whakatane, New Zealand. He studied for five years at the University of Auckland, completing a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Geography, and a Masters of Environmental Engineering.

After working as an environmental consultant for two years, he grew tired of office work and decided to quit his job in 2014 and see the world. One year later, he published his first novel – Stormwielder – while in Guatemala.

Since then, he has honed his skills while travelling through parts of SE Asia, India, North and South America, Turkey and Europe, and now has over a dozen works to his name. He can’t wait for the COVID crisis to settle down so he can continue his adventures.

Check out my interview with Aaron and our chat about his Descendents of the Fall series.
